'Wrong Turn 3' Gets the Green
I shouldn't be excited about this...
Back in August of 2007 I wrote an article/review related to the direct-to-DVD movie Wrong Turn 2: Dead End called "CONGRATS: 'Wrong Turn 2' Avoids Horror Cliches". I was legitimately shocked at how much I enjoyed the film considering its tired subject matter (inbred cannibals) and its goofy storyline (reality TV people-hunting simulation). The film didn't follow cliche horror storylines, supplied some laughs and some legitimate scares. So, when Bloody-Disgusting says they are prepping a Wrong Turn 3, sure, I'll bite.
Joe Lynch isn't back to direct, B-D reports Declan O'Brien is taking those duties and looking at his IMDb page it isn't telling me much. Then again, Lynch hadn't done much of anything prior to 2 so I am open to it still.
There are no story ideas even though Lynch did discuss possibilities for a third film, but there is no word on whether he will be involved at any capacity so for now just count on cannibalistic inbreeders in the forest doing som serious damage to someone. Who knows, maybe we will luck out and it too will be good… Doubtful of course.
