Wolverine, G.I. Joe and Hellraiser Updates

Casting news galore...

At the end of last week and over the weekend some news came in concerning several projects. Most of the news was hardly worthy of an article alone, but together it is sure to interest several of you.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine:

First off we have added a hi-res version of the USA Today image from Wolverine to our gallery here. Secondly there is some casting news courtesy of JoBlo and IESB. It appears Danny Huston has signed on to star as William Stryker and Lynn Collins beat both Maggie Q and Michelle Monaghan for the role of Kayla Silverfox A.K.A. Silver Fox.

On top of that Film School Rejects (gotta love that name) have received a rumor that The Blob may have a small part in the film.

G.I. Joe:

Nothing too fancy here, Latino Review is simply reporting that Johnathan Pryce (Governor Swan from Pirates of the Caribbean) has joined the cast of G.I. Joe as the President of the United States.

Hellraiser:

Finally, ShockTillYouDrop is reporting that Feast, Saw IV and Saw V screenwriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton are set to write Clive Barker Presents: Hellraiser, scheduled for a January 9, 2009 release. This basically tells me that it will suck, but that is only my personal opinion, perhaps some of you consider Feast, Saw IV and the idea of Saw V as iconic and original as Barker's Hellraiser. If you are a horror fan I have to assume you are in league with me and would rather pop in Barker's version than see some gross reproduction.
