‘Wolverine’ Footage Debuted at Comic Con

We got the video of Hugh Jackman introducing Wolverine!

Here at Comic Con, Fox tried to act like it was a big surprise (and maybe it was), but they did the right thing and brought in Hugh Jackman who jumps on stage and begins to introduce footage from X-Men Origins: Wolverine… here is what he had to say.

The footage shows plenty involving the origin of both Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Sabertooth (Liev Schrieber) from their time in front of a firing squad to their introduction to Stryker.

From there you see Logan/Wolverine in a water filled machine as he undergoes the change to become Wolverine and as a voice over says, “Become the animal,” you hear, “He is,” and he blasts out of the water in the traditional Wolverine pose, shirtless, flexing with arms spread and blades exposed.

You get to see Gambit, Deadpool, the Blob and several more villains and the plot is exposed as Wolverine is obviously against Stryker’s use of Wolverine and Sabertooth. Explosions ensue, Wolverine on top of a helicopter, but primarily the final scene between Sabertooth and Wolverine in which Wolverine appears to be responding to a question from Sabertooth asking So what are you gonna do? To which Wolverine responds, “I’m gonna cut your goddamn head off… See if that works.”

It’s some impressive footage and I only wish I could have recorded it for you… Here is Jackman’s goodbye to the crowd:
