Wilson and Aniston Headline 'Marley and Me'

Book adaptation draws in typical names

The feature film adaptation of Philadelphia Inquirer columist John Grogan's book is ready to roll as Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson are set to topline Marley and Me for director David Frankel and 20th Century Fox.

Frankel last helmed The Devil Wears Prada for Fox and will now take a stab at the canine themed drama from Scott Frank's (The Lookout) script.

The film tells the story of Marley, a yellow lab adopted by Grogan and his wife. Their idea was to give them a taste of parenthood, but the dog proved to be a hyperactive handful. He wreaks havoc, gets kicked out of obedience school and gets even worse when the children begin to arrive, yet becomes an indispensable part of the family.

The pic is expected to begin lensing early next year.
