Will Smith, 'Tonight, He Comes'

New starring vehicle for Hitch star.

Reeling after the overwhelming box-office success of the romantic comedy Hitch Columbia Pictures is quickly looking for another starring vehicle for Will Smith, and they believe they have found it with Tonight, He Comes.

Jonathan Mostow is already on board to direct the film, which would find Smith as a superhero who crash-lands in Sheepshead Bay, N.Y., and causes chaos as he romances a local housewife in an attempt to revitalize himself.

The story was scripted six years ago and it was originally thought that Michael Mann would be taking directorial duties, instead Mann will simply be producing the film along with Akiva Goldsman.

However, Variety supplements their report by saying that neither Smith nor Mostow has committed to making Tonight, He Comes as their next pic even though a holiday 2006 release is being eyed.

On top of all that news there was also a tiny sentence in the article that said Mostow is developing several projects, including an untitled Paramount thriller he wrote, as well as Terminator 4.
