I have heard Robert Rodriguez's name attached to Red Sonja, Barbarella, Woman in Chains!, Jetsons, Conan, Madman and of course Sin City 2. Of those seven a grand total of zero have been made, but Rodriguez does have the family film Shorts set to hit theaters on August 7 and if release dates mean anything I guess we should expect Nerverackers on April 16, 2010.

Variety has official details on the futuristic thriller saying it is set in 2085 and centers on a character named Joe Tezca who is part of an elite unit dispatched to quell a crime wave in a theoretically perfect future society. Rodriguez will write and direct the feature for Dimension where he has found a home for so many of his features.

What this does for the fanboy anticipated Sin City 2 is quite obvious even though Frank Miller told IGN in December "Sin City 2 is written. It's mainly a matter of working out the details of the production. I'm hoping to do it with Robert Rodriguez again in the same circumstances that we did the first one, and we could be shooting as soon as April."

Considering Miller basically tried to make Sin City 2 with The Spirit minus the story, engaging characters and anything else resembling a quality film I don't see why he doesn't tackle it on his own.
