It sucked royally. The characters were unlikeable, way to many crotch shots of blue penis, the gore factor was over the top to the point it made the movie unwatchable. This movie was so bad I want to tell everyone I see not to waste their money on this awful piece of garbage.

Hi it royally sucked to me and I think everybody's opinion about loving it is not wrong but I just couldn't bring myself to like it. I found it like that sin city movie I just think the movie was in bits and pieces action added for no apparent reason.

Alan Moore had a reason why not to make it a movie. I lost it's integrity.

Watchmen comics is a joke and the movie seems like a joke, Bunch of dudes and 1 chick running around city with out any super-powers acting like super-hero's You don't see me wearing a $1000 custom around the city beating up bad-people and acting all douchey like I'm Superman.

What is the point of a group of Superheros with-OUT SuperPowers? The ONLY… ONLY EXCEPTION is Batman.

This movie is gonna flock weather you like it or not. What is the point of Batman copy cat? "Night Owl" WOW was BATMAN taken? Its like having a clown with cheap purple suit running around a town terrorizing people and asking people if they want to know about his scars and calling himself the Jokester.

And whats up with the Blue-Man groups missing dude being in WATCHMAN, A blue dude with unlimited power who can't do anything and why does he glow? I think Kmart lost their blue-light bulb

my friend was a PA on the set of this show and here's the spoiler, "It sucks" so when Friday rolls around and the blog sites light up with tags like watchmen sucks don't be surprised, the dead give-away is the extra money they pumped into pushing their lame movie on every t.v station, eg. Max Payne, bomb. If a movie is all that and the producers know it then the advertising just isn't as substantial. I'm a movie/comic buff and I won't be going out to see this horrible excuse of a pumped up flop. But if your that lonely and pathetic, be my guest. For my time your better off staying at home watching a classic you truly enjoy, can't go wrong with fight club or forest gump, slumdog millionaire was amazing.

I gotta admit, despite my adoration for Alan Moore's fascinating take on Superheroes, my expectations are still pretty low for this film. I "liked" trailer; however, I wasn't exactly blown away (such as the way I felt after seeing the first trailer for "300" or "The Matrix").

The film may suck…the world will go on. "The Leage of Extraordinary Gentlemen" was a complete bomb (a tragedy considering how amazing the comic was); oh well. While it is always a shame to see great works of fiction or biopics get destroyed on the big screen [LOEG, The Punisher (1989), War & Peace (1964), Alexander, The Messenger]; there are always plenty of great adaptations to cheer for. Sometimes horrible or merely okay source material gets turned into great films…the world somehow continue spinning.

Note: If Lord of the Rings had sucked, I'm not sure how I would have survived…….

The potential for suck is there, as with any movie, but I think it's small. I think the greater danger is making an inaccessible movie that only fans will want to see. If that's the case, it will still cause box office trouble, but not on the same scale as if the movie was just flat out bad.

While it's impossible to speak to the movie's plot or acting, at the very least we can be assured of a visually stunning film. I'll be happy with that.

I'm not ignoring this fact. Dawn of the dead and 300 were good nothing special, and watchmen is work of art, far more complicated than most movies can be. So it could suck big time, or be okay with some great moments from the BOOK as you expect them, but i dont think it'll knock my socks off. Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons did that already, but time will tell and here's hoping.

The Graphic novel is by far one of my favorite novels of all time (granted alot of people say that but it is true). After The Dark Knight alot of people were happy to hear the "unfilmable" Watchmen was being prepped for filming i was excited once again granted so was alot of people but then i heard they were changing the ending and my chemical romance (the sordid emo dicks) were covering Bob Dylan's Desolation Row…… I really hope that for the sake of the die hard fans and for his reputation Snyder is able to present a fucking masterpiece.

Just going by the two trailers I would bet the avg moviegoer is not excited about the film. Fanboys, there estatic but the avg person who goes to the movies once a month and sees the trailer will not jump up and say that looks great can't wait to see it. Im not saying this is the next Snakes on a Plane but it could be! For me the Trailer is really interesting but its NOT overly compelling!

I don't know,man…all the promo stuff that I had seen up to now wasn't too impressive to me, but I just watched the second trailer posted on apple.com, and it changed my opinion for the better. It looks like at the very least, they're treating the source material with respect, aside from, you know, trying to make it into a two hour movie in the first place…

Warners is taking a Goldie Locks approach. If the theatrical is too cold and the Black Freighter is too hot then maybe the director's cut is just right. At least Warners is informing us of multiple releases before we put any money down and giving us the option to own whichever copy we like best. I'm still waiting for the Kill Bill director's cut or even a Grindhouse theatrical.
