Warners Puts a 'Hex' on Neveldine and Taylor
New comic based in the Western world...

Warner Bros. has signed on Crank writer/director duo Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor to adapt a feature adaptation of the DC Comic "Jonah Hex".
The Western anti-hero comic centers on Hex, the title character known for having the right side of his face disfigured and wearing a Confederate army uniform. He was a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter whose adventures always ended in blood. Hmmm, sounds good to me… I like disfigured faces and blood always works for me.
The THR article goes on to say that Neveldine and Taylor are not making a straight-ahead Western but plan to develop the character with some of the supernatural overtones in the hopes of creating a franchise. Gotta be honest, I like the sound of that.
Apparently a new series of "Hex" comics started up in 2005, but he made his comic debut in the early '70s as part of the "All Star Western" comics.
There is no word on whether the duo will also direct. If they did I would expect more of this just because after interviewing them for Crank that just seems to be the territory they wade in, and I like it.
