Wait, Wait, Wait… The Pregnant Man Gets a Doc of His Own?

Man, the lengths we have to go to for some attention nowadays

Beattie rockin' a wicked pregger pose!

For the record I thought about getting pregnant way before Thomas Beattie and before Arnold Schwarzenegger did it in the 1994 comedy Junior. However, unlike Arnie I didn’t put on a pregnancy suit and unlike Beattie, I didn’t actually get pregnant and have the baby. Sorry, that seems a bit … weird, at least for me…

I am sure most of you already know the story of Beattie, at least the middle-aged women in the audience do considering Oprah had him on, but for those that don’t he is a 34-year-old man that was born female and underwent gender reassignment surgery and hormone treatment. I am not quite sure where this puts him in the technical realm of gender classification, but it doesn’t seem as weird considering the circumstances as long as you are open to people that undergo sex changes. I mean, how is it really hurting you?

Anyway, good ol’ Thomas gave birth to a girl at an Oregon hospital on June 29 and his story has now been picked up to be turned into a documentary by British independent TV producer and distributor DCD Media Plc for Britain’s Channel Four. The doc will be for television and will only have a runtime of 60 minutes.

What a strange and wild world we live in eh?

This was the first I had heard about this "guy"….I dont see what the big deal is. Its really not even that interesting…the fact that he still has the plumbing he was born with says to me that he is still a she…just without the breasts and some more testosterone…

Now if he were born a man, that would be a whole different story….
