Wait a Sec, Am I Interested in a Michael Moore Pic??

Actually I am. How odd.

Plenty of people swear by Michael Moore but I’ve never been one of them. I never want only one side of any issue, even if one side is 95% right, and I feel like Moore’s films relentlessly press a subjective agenda. That said, his new movie actually looks kind of cool:

The Weinstein Co. has pegged a June 29 rollout for Michael Moore’s Cannes-bound documentary “Sicko” … The doc (is) a critical look at the U.S. health care system.

Hey, now that’s something we can all get behind! One of my bros is a doctor but I think even he’d admit that the system has some flaws. And this probably isn’t so much political as it is anti big business which Moore did pretty well with on Roger and Me. Sadly, there is one reason no one will ever see this:

(The) June release date pits “Sicko” against Disney’s computer-animated “Ratatouille” and Fox actioner “Live Free or Die Hard.”

Ah. Good choice. Late June will offer something for the kids, something for the action lovers, and something for those looking to feel a little worse about the world.

Regardless, I’ll be giving it a watch so check back early and often as June nears.
