When I had the chance to interview Vadim Perelman during his press rounds for House of Sand and Fog, which he wrote and directed, he insisted he was only "attached" to The Talisman, a movie based on the 1984 Stephen King, Peter Straub co-authored novel. Well now The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Perelman is no longer attached at all to the film, which has a script written by Ehren Kruger (screenwriter for The Ring and The Ring 2). No word was mentioned on any other directors in line to take his place.
