While I have grown tired and weary of these CGI-animated films I am happy the upcoming adaptation of Dr. Suess' "Horton Hears a Who" is going to be animated and not live-action like How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Cat in the Hat. Both those movies were terrible.

That said, we have a look at The Mayor from Horton Hears a Who which is set to be released March 14, 2008 by Fox with Steve Carell starring as The Mayor and Jim Carrey will voice Horton. The teaser pic above is of The Mayor and you can click on it or right here for a full sized look.

The story of Horton Hears a Who is about an imaginative elephant who hears a cry for help coming from a tiny speck of dust floating through the air. Suspecting there may be life on that speck and despite a surrounding community which thinks he has lost his mind, Horton is determined to help.
