NSFW: Unrated Trailer for 'The Informers'

Boobs, Rourke, Basinger, Boobs, Thornton, Ryder and Boobs

Senator Entertainment just sent over the unrated trailer for Gregor Jordan's The Informers which will debut at Sundance before it's New York and L.A. release on April 10.

Bret Easton Ellis ("Less Than Zero" and "American Psycho") adapts his own acclaimed novel for the screen, returning to the Los Angeles of the early 1980’s with a multi-strand narrative that deftly balances a vast array of characters who represent both the top of the heap (a Hollywood dream merchant, a dissolute rock star, an aging newscaster) and the bottom (a voyeuristic doorman, an amoral ex-con). Connecting all his intertwining strands are the quintessential Ellis protagonists—a group of beautiful, blonde young men and women who sleep all day and party all night, doing drugs—and one another—with abandon, never realizing that they are dancing on the edge of a volcano. Filmed with uncommon glamour and grit by acclaimed Australian director Gregor Jordan ("Ned Kelly," "Buffalo Soldiers"), The Informers is an alternately blistering and chilling portrait of hedonism run amuck. The film stars Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Winona Ryder, Mickey Rourke, Brandon Routh, Ashley Olsen, Jon Foster, Lou Taylor Pucci, Austin Nichols, Amber Heard, Chris Isaak and Brad Renfro.

You can check it out below, but I tell you it is NOT safe for a work environment.

Bret Easton Ellis is a a literary genius! I can't wait to see this especially since he actually got in on writing the screenplay!

Brad Renfro died a year ago (the week before Heath Ledger) so why the delay for this movie? Was the fall schedule really that crowded? Or is it so awful they couldn't find a distributor?

Matt, no what I understand is they wanted it at Sundance and Cannes. look at the Fall 2008 films, the holiday movies…maybe MAYBE 5 stand out but most were turkeys. Even most of the good ones are downers. Plus the bad economy, SAG strike talks and presidential elections weren't helping film distributors make any decisions. The timing of the Informers is hopefully, perfect.
