Two Part 'Harry Potter 7' with Steven Spielberg?

I have come to trust just about zilch out of most UK newspapers since if it isn't the BBC it really seems to be bunk, but this latest rumor out of the Daily Mail is just too fantastic to ignore. Apparently the cast and crew of the current Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, have been told that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows wil be shot as two films.
Many of you will remember that rumors such as this persisted during Goblet of Fire and even Order of the Phoenix based on the length of the books and the content of the stories. I for one would love to see "Deathly Hallows", the seventh and final book in the Potter series, turned into two films as long as they were released within a couple months of one another. The story is big, but to drag it out over an extended period of time (more than a month) would be ridiculous. The story, to my recollection, has no recognizeable midway point to which you could cut it off and say "To Be Continued", sort of like how the cut-off point in Matrix Reloaded was sort of a WTF? moment.
The interesting thing the Daily Mail points out from their unnamed sources is that the reason for splitting the two films isn't a monetary one (ha!) instead it is for artistic reasons. Unnamed source goes on to say, "There’s so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be in two halves. There is a huge battle when Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, takes on Voldemort that needs to be done really well."
Okay, so do the battle well, but don't turn it into an epic. The battle between Dumbledore and Voldemort in Order of the Phoenix was amazing, but it wasn't two hours long.
As for that Spielberg tease in the headline, the article then goes on to say that big-name directors such as Steven Spielberg are being courted to helm the final film. Uh, that ain't gonna happen either. How about I throw in Clint Eastwood, James Cameron and Martin Scorsese just for the hell of it. As a matter of fact I think I heard from unnamed sources that Uwe Boll and his German financiers were ready to pounce on the final film and were just waiting for the papers to come through. Boll apparently threatened to make Parry Hotter and the Lively Condemnations should he be denied. I mean, who are these sources?
The final quote from the piece comes from a "spokesman" saying, "People are discussing all possibilities." Ha, my source said the same thing! They are discussing stuff. Go figure, it could be the same person!
Get excited about the seventh film coming to theaters but don't put too much stock in silly rumors until we get an actual source.
