Truth about the 'Harry Potter 6' Delay Revealed in One Picture

Finally, Warner Bros. releases the truth

He just blends in so well!

After so much online speculation as to what the real problem with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was and why the delay, the truth has been revealed via a new behind-the-scenes shot featuring Dumbledore and an on-looking crew. Just look, one person seems out of place. Look closely and you should recognize the glasses, cane and striped shirt. Yup, and apparently he peppered himself throughout so many shots Industrial Light and Magic has had to add additional staff to a new project: OPERATION REMOVE WALDO.

Nicolas Aithadi, visual effects supervisor, said this, "Yes, Waldo has infiltrated our film and he can be seen in almost every crowd shot taking place at Hogwarts." He continued, "The problem is not these few scenes, in fact the problem is every other scene. Waldo has such an uncanny ability to hide that we have had to go back through the film frame-by-frame and look for him. That is something like 684,000 frames ILM has had to go through just looking for the blasted man."

Strangely enough Waldo had thought to be long missing. His last bit of original work was scene in "Where's Waldo? The Completely Crazy Activity Book" in 1995 and after that it was like he completely disappeared. As ironic as it may seem it is true.

His appearance in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been seen as a blessing and a curse. "At least we know he is still alive," said director David Yates, "but did he have to delay our movie?"

Warner Bros. has taken some serious heat from fans regarding the 11 month delay of Half-Blood Prince from November 2008 to July 2009 but studio chief Alan Horn seems relieved the truth is finally out there. "So often I have to lie and make up half-truths about what really is going on with any one of our films. We felt releasing this behind-the-scenes image without actually telling anyone he was there would allow fans to realize just how hard it actually is to find Waldo. We just couldn't make the planned November release and had to delay."

So there you have it folks. The truth is finally out there and it didn't take Mulder or Scully, just a little bit of magic.

I think this is a total sham. This picture of "Waldo" looks photoshopped into the picture. Probably just a marketing scam by warner brothers to get more money, in my opinion.

How could the NOT catch this guy if that were the case? Usually security on film sets is a lot less releaxed, especially for a film as popular as Harry Potter.

Ridiculous.

No, I'm afraid you're wrong. I was there. I worked on this movie as an extra for a few weeks and that Waldo asshole kept fucking with the entire cast and crew. The problem is whenever someone would call security that dick would disappear into another shot they were setting up. We did 37 takes of Dumbledore opening a door because of that son of a bitch. God I hate him.

=)) Wow, that was good.

Personally, I vote keep his ass in the flick. :hello: I'd look for him, actually. That would guarantee multiple viewings. At least by me. "I counted two more than last time!"

Okay, have you guys checked out the photographs on imdb…there is the same picture WITHOUT "waldo" in it. So I still remain skeptical, sorry.

But I also wasn't there, so maybe it's just me.

Judging by some of the comments on this photograph (hollystar), I think I should be scared about the survival of the human race.

Waldo is a fictional character that used to feature in TV shows and books, where you had to spot him in crowds as he went out his adventures, often through time and space. In the US and Canada the books and shows were called "Where's Waldo?" but in Australia and other countries they were called "Where's Wally?".

This article is a JOKE. Yes, funnily enough, Waldo/Wally WAS photoshopped in. This article is not to increase revenue for WB in publicity, however the original November08 – July09 delay was all about publicity and increasing the amount of viewers of the HBP movie.

And if you couldn't figure that out on your own – the article even pointed it out for you – check out what is written at the end of the article.
"This article and its contents are fictitious. Any resemblance to persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental or is intended purely as a satire, parody or spoof."
