'Transformers 2' Trailer News, 'Star Trek' Quiz, Joker Painting and More
More Daredevil, no Ghost Rider 2 and 28 more days?
First off, a little release date housekeeping…
The Wrestler is set to hit theaters on December 19, 2008. Land of the Lost has been moved to June 5, 2009. Fast and the Furious has been moved to June 12, 2009.
Next, if you are interested in seeing an encore presentation of the first episode of "Fringe" as well as the first four minutes of the series' second episode, an extended scene from the upcoming film The Day The Earth Stood Still and a preview of "24: Redemption" then tune into FOX on Sunday, Sept. 14 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
Now, to the rumors and online linkage…
The trailer for Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones has been seen and said to "give away WAY too much of the plot" by someone that hasn't seen it. That same someone says we can expect the first full-length trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in front of Star Trek on May 8, 2009.
Speaking of Star Trek there is a Trekkie quiz over here.
And speaking of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen apparently there is an eleven part YouTube video from behind-the-scenes showing. It looks like crap but apparently this ice cream truck thing is cool.
If trailers are your thing I just added the teaser trailer for Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus right here.
Shannen Doherty has finished filming on CW's "90210," but don't bet that sequel to "Beverly Hills 90210" has seen the last of Brenda Walsh.
A teaser trailer for Feast 2 is online.
Rumors have shown up online as to why Robert De Niro bailed on the new Mel Gibson film Edge of Darkness and was subsequently replaced by Ray Winstone. Could it be it had to do with a long sandtrap shoot?
Production on the set of the latest season of "24" has shutdown for script work and now Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse" is following suit.
Fox is said to be mining the Marvel caves for another Daredevil film, more X-Men spinoffs, including a young-X-Men project as well as Deadpool, based on a character played by Ryan Reynolds in Wolverine.
Up-and-coming painter Dave White's latest exhibition features a four foot high oil painting of Heath Ledger as The Joker. Check it out!
Eva Mendes says "No" to Ghost Rider 2 and I say, "Uh, who said 'Yes'?"
Will Danny Boyle direct another unoriginal zombie movie?
Lou Lumenick is probably the only movie critic I have virtually zero respect for and as it turns out he has added fuel to my fire by hitting a mute Roger Ebert. To be fair he would have hit whoever it was sitting behind him, but that doesn't exactly make it any better. Lou has remained mute himself regarding the matter despite Ebert's explanation of what happened. If only Lou would stop talking about movies as well.
Liz Smith at Variety gives us this little blurb regarding Bond's next mission:
"Daniel [Craig] and Barbara [Broccoli] talked about the next Bond epic, part of which will be filmed — for the very first time! — in New York. [Upscale New York restaurant] Primola itself will have a little cameo."
Here's a preview of the animated Spaceballs TV show that will premiere on G4 on September 24 at 5 PM.
Finally, here are Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro on David Letterman doing the "The Top Ten Reasons I Like Being An Actor".
