‘Transformers 2′ Subtitle and ‘Spider-Man 4′ Jibber Jabber

Also a new 'Dark Knight' site and then some...

Some news for the fanboy in yah hit the Net over the past 48 hours and here is a recap of the miniscule multitude.

First up Sam Raimi talked with ComingSoon about Spider-Man 4 and he was just about as optimistic about returning to the franchise as I have ever seen:

“James Vanderbilt is writing the script and I’m excited to read it. I think it’s going to be done in a few months,” Raimi told us, adding, “I’m hoping it’s as great as our discussions were about it and I’m hoping it feels right for me because I love Spider-Man. I’m hoping I’m well rested enough to embrace it and I’m hoping Sony wants me to do it. If all of those things come together, I would love to do it. There are a lot of unknowns about the future.”

Meanwhile Michael Bay has confirmed the full title for Transformers 2 is in fact Transformers 2: Rise of the Fallen.

That’s not the end of the Transformers 2 tidbits as set previews, spoilers and pics seem to be sprouting up everywhere. You can read this, look at these, watch this or look at these. And I am sure there are more, but as far as I am concerned that is enough.

We also have the new tie-in site for The Dark Knight hosted by Comcast featuring a new IMAX featurette.

Beyond that we have Jon Favreau talking about Iron Man 2 right here.

Oh, damn, I almost forgot. There is even another bit from Transformers 2 as Michael Bay offers this with regards to his film not being a set up for a third:

“You know how those sequels they do the second one so you go see the third one? [Transformers 2] is it,” he said, indicating that “2″ would be its own story free from the duel shackles of set-up or resolution. “First one was just introducing, setting up stuff, so we can go a lot farther. Let’s just say [this] is not a lame sequel.”

Sounds good to me.

TrekMovie has a quick quote from Star Trek scripter Roberto Orci saying, “I can give you a spoiler about the Studio’s state of mind (not about the movie itself). The spoiler is that they already want to lock us down to write the sequel. Take that as you will.” He goes on to say it is pretty much standard procedure.
