‘Transformers 2′ Doesn’t Like You, Return the Favor

More of the same is on the way

Jonah Hill

UPDATE: Not Happening.

The one big positive Transformers 2 has going for it is that I will have absolutely no expectations. As I am doing with this summer’s films I will continue to avoid watching any trailers in hopes of being moderately surprised when I see the final project. As for Transformers 2, the first one let me down in the cool factor category and went for cheap jokes and robots peeing on characters. I was able to find mild enjoyment in the DVD and when the second one comes out I will expect more of the same, which lowers my expectations and may mean I will enjoy it more.

Michael Bay and his cronies are proving that “cool” and “dark” are not words they will associate with the film as Entertainment Weekly announces Jonah Hill is in negotiations to co-star in the film and provide the comic relief as a sidekick to Shia LaBeouf’s Sam Witwicky.

Translate this to Jonah Hill will get peed on instead of John Turturro and you have your casting session.

The sequel is set to begin shooting this summer for a June 26, 2009 release.
