'Transformers 3' 30-Second Sneak Peek

Oh man... This is going to be epic pwnage!

REMOVED: Okay, I am removing the video and closing the comments as some people are getting offended, which is then going to result in other people calling out other people and telling them they are stupid for being offended and the wheel will continue to turn. I just thought the mashup of craziness was comical and didn't think twice about the Ebert quote so many people are upset with, but I guess what rolls off my back doesn't necessarily roll off everyone's and I apologize if people got upset. In the interest of maintaining civil conversation I have removed the video. You can still watch it here if you like, but that's it for this article.

Are you ready for Transformers 3 on July 1, 2011? Well, here's a sneak peek… Personally I like the part with the explosions…

Bye Bye Video

BOOM! Thanks to good ol' Roger Ebert for the heads up.

Opinions like Ebert's are a perfect example why traditional reviews should be polishing up their resumes. No one wants to be judged -or called under evolved- based on whether or not they enjoyed a film.
I'm not a fan of the Bay's Transformer flicks but I don't try to browbeat those who are.

Best 47 second review of the film! It is really encouraging to see that people are still drilling this sorry explosion-compilation-of-a-film a new one!!

Think about this for a second. ROS's Commenting Rules & Guidelines begins with: "No name-calling and personal abuse, please. Disagreements are welcome, but be civil."

"Those who think [TRoTF] is a great or even a good film are, may I tactfully suggest, not sufficiently evolved" (Ebert) is really just a fancy way of saying 'only retards like that movie'. If that sentiment was posted in a comment I would think it is in violation of the first submission rule. So why is this article promoting such name-calling?

I don't think 'too much action' was the problem for anyone as opposed to the lack of…anything else.

"Those who think Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a great or even a good film are, may I tactfully suggest, not sufficiently evolved." – This coming from the man who gave Lakeview Terrace and Knowing four stars.

Thanks for the IQ bitchslap, Ebert. I still (with some guilt) enjoyed both Transformers. The dialogue is horrendous. The storylines are non-existant. But they still were fun for my inner 5-year old to behold.

@GregM:

EXTREMELY good point. This video was a waste of time. I am now going to go smack myself in the nose with a meat tenderizer for 47 seconds as that would be a better use of my time than watching that video again. Have fun with a movie or don't. Don't make fun or put down people who enjoy something just because you think it is dumb.

I could be wrong, but I believe that that wasn't in his review but instead in a response on his blog to all the negative comments he got for not liking the film. So, sort of taken out of context. He didn't really come down on people until they came down on him. Not saying he was right, but he wasn't the first to start the browbeating.

That being said, I agree with the sneak peak, but it wasn't that funny of a trailer. It was missing the satirical edge needed, instead was more preachy than anything else. If you thought this was a funny or even amusing trailer, well, may I tactfully suggest you are not sufficiently evolved.

I like how people are getting all bitter at Ebert on here.
Guess what, kids? If you are offended or felt patronized by Ebert's comment…
you're one of the under-evolved people he's talking about.
Somebody above/below said something like "Don't make fun or put down people who enjoy something just because you think it's dumb"
Well, again, guess what? Some things ARE dumb, no thinking required. The Transformers movies serve no purpose other than entertainment for the same kind of people who like Nascar and monster truck rallies, which is not what film is supposed to be.
