Go figure, the same day I ask who will become the next Will Smith we get the trailer for Smith’s latest Oscar bid, Seven Pounds, a film directed by The Pursuit of Happyness helmer Gabriele Muccino and co-starring Rosario Dawson, Woody Harrelson and Michael Ealy. The story centers on a guilt-ridden man (Smith) who inadvertently falls in love while attempting to kill himself. Dawson plays a love interest who suffers from a serious heart condition. Harrelson portrays a motel attendant who becomes intrigued by his suicidal new tenant.

Check out the trailer below and the image above comes from the newly launched official site.

Seven Pounds hits theaters on December 19.

I gotta say, I really dislike the music for this trailer. It went better with Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Will Smith looks amazing, as usual.
