Trailer for Francis Ford Coppola's 'Tetro'

A film definitely worth keeping an eye on

I actually had a chance to see Francis Ford Coppola's new film Tetro already and can tell you I really liked it and hope to catch it again as it makes its way to the Seattle International Film Festival and now you get your first look at the black-and-white feature, which includes various splashes of color throughout.

The film, while fictional, is said to have had its origins from memories and emotions of Coppola's early life. It stars Vincent Gallo and newcomer Alden Ehrenreich, whom I can tell you reminds me of a Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Pitt and Emile Hirsch all wrapped in one. Truly, Ehrenreich was fantastic in this pic. The story centers on the bittersweet reunion of two brothers and the secrets surrounding their relationship.

Tetro is set to hit theaters on June 11. Check out the trailer directly below.

Hmm…Looks interesting.

Like everybody else I'm a huge fan of Coppola's work in the past, and I even thought "Youth without Youth" was bearable, but this seems like it could be his first "good" film in a long time.

I don't know if he has it in him (or if he even wants to do it anymore) but I always liked the idea behind "Megalopolis". Maybe if this does well he'll decide to do it for his one last big film.

As for Tetro, I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it.

Ah I love Vincent Gallo! I certainly do wish he would write/direct another movie. Buffalo 66 and Brown Bunny were excellent!

I haven't really enjoyed a non-Sofia Coppola movie in quite some time, but this looks like it's got some potential.
