Caddyshack |
| Rodney, Chevy and Bill. Everyone gets there chance in this flick as Bushwood Country Club and its gopher infestation became a comedy classic and has never left its perch despite that awful sequel. Outside of all the obvious quotes and scenes I could reference, one thing I have always wondered is just how many people were inspired to trick people with a floating Baby Ruth after this film was released. The number had to be astronomical. |

Trading Places |
| I had never seen this entire movie until just a couple of months ago. The reason being that every time I saw even a glimpse of it was on television in its edited form and I didn't care to watch it like that, at least not the first time around. However, after watching it in its R-rated entirety it is certainly one of the better comedies I have ever seen and, along with Caddyshack, I would say the top five films on this list are not only the top five films I missed seeing as I was growing up, but are also some of my favorite overall comedies of all-time. |

Porky's |
| I have probably seen Porky's three or four times now and when making this list I had it on my "to be considered" list, but I wasn't planning on adding it to the top ten because any time I think about it I am never quite sure of how well it will hold up. Then I decided every film deserves a chance, especially with the vast number of films I was watching just to make up this list. As you can see, as it turns out, I watched it again and had a lot of fun with it. The jokes continue to hit home including the dick in the wall, everything Pee Wee does, Kim Cattrall as Miss Honeywell the screamer and so much more. It's a fantastic high school movie and an equally fun revenge flick. Definitely a one of a kind. |

Bachelor Party |
| Yet another film I had not seen until only a month ago and of the new batch of comedies I watched this one really did stand out way above the rest. The donkey on drugs was quite possibly one of the funniest scenes out of all these films on this list and Tom Hanks is so freaking young in this movie, but he is just as good as he ever was and will be. Hanks made his early career on comedy and is now remembered as a dramatic Oscar winning actor. It would be nice to see him do one last classic comedic role before he hangs it all up or gets too old. |
