Tony Gilroy's 'Duplicity' Adds Thornton and Wilkinson

Already a reunion tour for new director

Tom Wilkinson

Variety is reporting the unfortunately named second directorial feature, Duplicity, for Tony Gilroy has added Billy Bob Thornton and Tom Wilkinson to the cast. The film will be a reunion for Wilkinson and Gilroy who just worked together on the seven-time Oscar nominated film Michael Clayton, which included a nomination for Gilroy's direction and screenplay as well as a Supporting Actor nom for Wilkinson.

The two actors will join Julia Roberts and Clive Owen in the drama of which Gilroy will direct from his own script.

In the film Thornton and Wilkinson will play the CEOs of rival pharmaceutical companies racing to corner the market on an innovation that will bring wild profits. Roberts and Owen play corporate spies who try to manipulate which corporation will win.

Production is set to shoot in March and April in New York as it was one of the few films to have a script ready to roll as the writers' strike got underway.
