Tom Cruise's Kid is Now an 'Actor'... Sort of

Will Smith snatches him up

Tom Cruise is ready to let his flock loose as his 13-year-old son Connor is confirmed to have a small, non-speaking role in the upcoming Will Smith drama Seven Pounds. To call the role anything more than, well, him being an extra is really a stretch, which means I lied in my headline, but... what can yah do?

Cruise's role is as a younger version of Smith (Connor is adopted if you are wondering) and he is mostly shown in photographs.

The film is directed by The Pursuit of Happyness helmer Gabriele Muccino and also stars Rosario Dawson, Woody Harrelson and Michael Ealy.

The story centers on a guilt-ridden man who inadvertently falls in love while attempting to kill himself. Dawson will play a love interest who suffers from a serious heart condition. Harrelson will portray a motel attendant who becomes intrigued by his suicidal new tenant.

Seven Pounds hits theaters on December 12.

I tried calling Tom Cruise and/or Nicole Kidman but apparently they aren't listed on Switchboard.com.
