If you want to get the real story I would recommend the book instead of the movies, I am hoping to get started on the book this weekend and if I can find enough free time have it finished before Monday night. I'm debating whether I should go get "The Last Man on Earth", which I presume this movie is based on. However, it might end up tainting my opinion of this version when I do see it. Something that stood out to me was the apparent lack of any background music. It utterly failed to establish any tension. Of course, every movie made during my lifetime has felt the need to cram soundtrack and foley into each second. Good movies can use the visuals, characters, and dialog to flavor each scene, without relying on lots of music. However, I can also see this going terribly wrong.
