I am 50/50 on credit sequences. If they are long, drawn out and pointless such as the opening credits for Leatherheads I loathe them. If they are kick ass like say the credits for Se7en, The Kingdom or Fight Club then gimme more, gimme more, gimme more. Then there are credits for films such as The Assassination for Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford in which the title doesn't even show up until the very end of the film. Those work too.
