There’s a New Rumer about Mischa Barton

That was a fun headline

I make it no secret that I think Mischa Barton is a talentless hack and I don’t think films starring Bruce Willis’ daughter Rumer Willis will be the efforts she needs to help her career. However, her agent is probably working overtime to get the young actress work and found The Sophomore and a director in Brett Simon to cast her. Not only that, Bruce is even taking on a role in the film.

Described as a teenage take on Jack Nicholson’s Chinatown, Barton plays the most popular girl in her Catholic high school. She persuades a sophomore reporter to investigate the theft of SAT exams, but after he reveals that the school’s president and top jock are responsible, a more sinister conspiracy emerges.

Rumer Willis plays the troublemaking sidekick of Barton’s character. Bruce Willis plays the school’s twisted principal, a Desert Storm veteran who can’t let go of his glory days in Kuwait.

Yari Film Group will distribute the film with principal photography set to begin in August.
