Umm, they showed more than the trailer at Comic Con. I had to sit in Hall H and write about the footage for this site. And well, the scenes they showed were horrible. HORRIBLE! Admittedly I only saw 2 of the 3 scenes shown (I had to leave for some reason that I forget now), but the third scene shown sounded just awful as the first 2.

As for the trailer, I do admit the song is fantastic. Otherwise the only thing this movie has going for it is a smoking hot Scarlett Johansson.

I work at a movie theater and am pretty much a movie fanatic, meaning any conversation a person strikes up with me is going to lead to movies. The trailer for the Spirit is one of my favorites, and I watch it on my PSP all the time (along with Watchmen). In talking to customers at the theater and other people, I've never heard someone say they hated it or that it looks like a Sin City knockoff. I think it is impressing people. Perhaps I should clarify, when I say it isn't "Impressing Anyone" in the headline I am referring to many folks talking about the film online, not a blanket statement of everyone.

That's why I said "online fanboy verdict" in the very first line. I do my best to explain myself, but I do ask that people read. This is to say, I am not specifically talking about you.
