‘The Happening’ Teaser Set to Debut with ‘Jumper’?

It would make sense...

I think I may be one of the few remaining M. Night Shyamalan fans, aside from the folks that run MNightFans.com who are now reporting word that the trailer for Night’s new film The Happening is expected to debut with Jumper on February 14th with an online release following the weekend. The site reports that the teaser has been finished and is awaiting Night’s approval.

Of course this dampens the mood of those that were hoping the trailer would be shown during the Super Bowl as Fox is yet to reveal which upcoming title of theirs will be shown during the big game this Sunday.

The Happening has been described as a paranoid thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity. Mark Wahlberg stars in the film with Zooey Deschanel, John Leguizamo and Spencer Breslin and it is set to hit theaters on June 13th.

This is great news and it sounds reliable. I was really looking forward to a trailer when AVP2 came out back in December, but this is better because Jumper is a flick I actually want to see. I’m also hoping their will be a trailer for Babylon A.D. since it is also a pg-13 action flick from Fox. Peace Out !

Shyamalan has already confirmed that the flick will be a solid R. He said that if it was anything less people wouldn’t feel the impact of the story. Also a movie about people killing themselves in very violent and brutal ways doesn’t sound PG to me. Just because the trailer is with a PG movie doesn’t mean Happening has to be PG. Fox is just trying to advertise the movie the biggest way possible and their pretty sure Jumper will be big. Peace Out !
