Wow, the Lesbian scenes made me go from highs to real lows. Very awesome.

One of the best moments of the movie (which I did not really enjoyed)…I'm shivering 'cause of it…so brilliant

i thought it was brilliant and well done. The whole movie was great and a lot of effort was put into everything in it. the intro was a great way to cover a lot of the back-story in not a lot of time.

I love it. It was definitely a creative way to put in the back-story. I haven't seen the movie yet (going out tonight to watch it) but if it's as well done as the opening credits I have a feeling I won't be too disappointed.

I feel like I'm the only one who noticed this in the theater (and laughed), but look at the part for "Happy Retirement Sally"?

I don't remember if this was an easter egg in the graphic novel (wouldn't doubt it if it was) but it was amusing to me, at least.

It's the end of superhero movies. This declares it. Now all other superhero movies will look more or less campy in front of this…

I loved the sequence, it set up the movie nicely.

The best part of that shot is Captain Metropolis and Hooded Justice obviously- a fanboy's dream come true.

Steph.Y – You're thinking of Robert Kennedy (JFK's brother & Attorney General), who was killed in 1968 after he won the Democratic Primary in California to be nominated for President. President John F. Kennedy was shot in his car by a sniper in Dallas Texas in 1963.

Alpha: the Comedian worked for the CIA, who in the Watchman universe were responsible for JFK being killed likely because he wasn't going to escalate Vietnam the way they wanted, or even was going to deescalate it. This is a real world conspiracy theory, that in the Watchman-Universe is true.

Hardly the end of superhero movies. The current run of such movies are derived from comics that already were affected by the Watchmen. By staying so true to the source material, the film's relevance is primarily to Cold War culture and Silver Age comic books – a historical, rather then immediate, significance.

It's a really good movie, and I'm sure it will influence other films, but it won't revolutionize superhero movies (much less movies in general) the way the source material revolutionized comics.

Probably a good thing, too. Watchmen was amazing, but the Dark Age of comics that followed – years and years of lesser comics writers trying to imitate it's success through a barrage of unlikable characters and pointless violence – was hardly something I'd like to see on the big screen.

@benishe: Haven't seen the movie but watched this bit yesterday and agree with everyone that it is unique, creative, and totally cool. But if this isn't camp than I don't know camp. Like I said, haven't seen the rest of the movie.

I think this is simply amazing. I didnt like the movie as a whole but this is by far the best scene. The only time where music and action fit perfectly

I first read the graphic novel when it was released in a collection years ago, I've loved it ever since. Now I have to go kill Zach Snyder for making such a shitty film out of a masterpiece. You should be ashamed of yourself Snyder, how can you call yourself a fan and then go anally rape Alan Moore's work?

Calm the hell down joe, they did an okay job.

It's the unflimable book, and they did a resonable job of doing it.

sides, the dvd version should be much better. if you watch carefully, through out the movie, there are little hints, characters appearing in the foreground and such, that they shot every scene, they just couldn't fit it all in.

best bit was the batman reference the couple saved from getting shot by niteowl 1 and the batman comics in the background
