There is some really good cinema down south which does not get the publicity or the press it deserves. Bollywood is too lost in its self-content, inconsequential, ignorant and childish world. All it's lead actors are above forty and think changing external appearances (getting six-packs and all) makes great acting. There is hardly anything original or really worth watching. Once in a while, though it's good - like, maybe, going to a circus. But wait, they have real artistes in circuses, don't they? If anyone wants wants to watch really good Indian (Hindi) cinema they should dig out the old films of Guru Dutt or even some of 70's working class cinema. Another fact, it's highest paid actress, Katrina, can't act and barely knows her native tongue; more than half her films have another lady doing a voice.
