Susan Sarandon Joins 'Wall Street 2'

Michael Fleming at Variety reports Susan Sarandon is the latest to join the cast of Oliver Stone's Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps for 20th Century Fox and set for release on April 23, 2010. Sarandon joins Michael Douglas who returns as Gordon Gekko from the 1987 original as well as Shia LaBeouf, Frank Langella and Carey Mulligan with the casting of Josh Brolin as the film's villain still in question.
Sarandon will play the mother of a young Wall Street trader (LaBeouf) who falls under the seductive influence of Gordon Gekko. Production is set to begin next month in New York from Allan Loeb's script.
This marks the first time Sarandon and Stone have worked together. The actress will next be seen in Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones this December.
