David Strathairn has heard his name shouted from all the rooftops as of late for his performance as Edward R. Murrow in Good Night, and Good Luck. Now, he is set to join the thriller Fracture for helmer Gregory Hoblit and New Line Cinema in conjunction with Castle Rock Entertainment.

The film already stars Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins in a story centering around an assistant district attorney (Gosling) who plays a cat-and-mouse game with a man (Hopkins) who tried to kill his wife but was set free on a series of technicalities. Strathairn plays the district attorney, Gosling's boss.
