It is a fact that there is no middle ground for this movie. Everyone I ask has absolute love for it or absolute hate. The people who don't like it always have the same reason. "I didn't get it." And, not in a didn't-understand-it-kinda-way...just not their cup o'tea. Which that's cool. I have a soft-spot for surreal movies that make you think outside the box. No, I'm not the pretentious, Indie-film lover. I just like those kinda flicks. As for the sequel...from a true Donnie Darko fan...NO THANKS!...'nuff said. I really liked Donnie Darko. The directors cut is a lot better, it explains much more. But this sequel is a terrible idea. Passing Donnies visions to his little sister totally ruins the entire ending of the first movie. Freaking pathetic. I truly dont see how anyone, including the assholes in Hollywood, could think this is a good idea.
