Sienna Miller Joins ‘G.I. Joe’

Is she good or bad?

Sienna Miller

I have already seen on some of the other movie news sites that they are saying Sienna Miller has been cast as The Baroness in G.I. Joe, however the Variety article announcing Miller has been cast in the film only says that her character is described as “a raven-haired baroness and sexy femme fatale skilled in espionage.” Just because the word “baroness” is included in the description does not necessarily tell me she will be playing the character of the same name…

Variety also says Miller’s character is the film’s female lead. I am not convinced the female lead of the film would necessarily be a villain, but this is just me speculating, what do I know?

G.I. Joe is set to begin filming in February 2008 and has been set for an August 7, 2009 release under the direction of Mummy helmer Stephen Sommers.

The fiml is set at Brussels-based GIJOE, an acronym for the Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity, and revolves around an international co-ed force of operatives who use high-tech equipment to battle Cobra, an evil org headed by a Scottish arms dealer.
