This is hardly going to be an information filled post, but considering I occasionally announce release dates for the more geek oriented titles and the fact the first Sex and the City made $152 million domestically and over $415 million worldwide I don't think it hurts to tell you the sequel currently rolling with the appropriate title of Sex and the City 2 will hit theaters on May 28, 2010, the same weekend it proved women could still fuel box-office results two years earlier.
In other release date news Universal's Cirque du Freak has now been slotted for a January 15, 2010 release. The Farrelly brothers' The Three Stooges now has an undetermined 2010 release and will no longer release on November 20 of this year.
Also, the Columbia Pictures remake of The Karate Kid is now slated for a June 11, 2010 release. That film will star Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith with Harald Zwart directing.

I watched SatC on my college campus on the big screen for free. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I would have paid $8 back in May if I had known I would have loved it so much. So this time I'll see it in theaters.
I too enjoyed "SATC" but…it was really unnecessary, so the sequel will probably be even more redundant and unnecessary. I hope they can find somewhere to take the story now, because I love seeing these characters, but if they have nothing interesting to do in the film, why would I bother seeing it?
