'Santa Clause 3' A Go!
...and Tim Allen is aboard.
Not sure if Tim Allen enjoys making these corny flicks or if this is all he can get but they certainly seem to be working for him as the first two Santa Clause movies grossed over $284 million, even last year's highly criticized Christmas with the Kranks pulled in $73 million at the box-office and it received some of the worst reviews of the year.
So Disney is digging back into Santa's sleigh and has tapped helmer Michael Lembeck, the director of The Santa Clause 2, for The Santa Clause 3, clearing the way for pic to start shooting in November with Allen ready to return.
The studio is eyeing a holiday 2006 release for the picture in which Santa, aka Scott Calvin, struggles to keep his new family happy while battling Jack Frost, who is trying to take over Christmas.
