Sam Jackson is the 'Afrosamurai'

I think we have all learned that Samuel L. Jackson will not shy away from any feature as he seems to sign on for whatever sounds like the most fun and he may have just found his calling as he has signed on to star in and co-produce Afrosamurai, a live-action feature film adaptation of Takashi Okazaki's manga property.

The story centers on No. 2, the Afro Samurai, who travels the road looking for revenge on those who murdered his father in front of him when he was just a boy. His nemesis is No. 1, a three-armed gunman who is the lord of the dark swordsman's road.

Along with a feature film there is expected to be an animated TV version scheduled to air on Spike TV next year in which Jackson will also be lending his voice for the lead character.

Production on the film is expected to begin next year.
