Rumor Mill Roundup: Megan Fox Nudity, 'Riddick 3,' 'Death Race' Prequel and More
Green Arrow movie cameos, 'Blair Witch Project 3' and then some

Wow, it's been a while since I last did one of these bad boys, but today we have a good healthy dose of rumors, speculation and a few side notes worth getting into… Let's get started.
A prequel to last year's Death Race is now rumored to be in the offing with director Paul W.S. Anderson at the center of it and Tony Giglio aboard to write a script, based on a story by Anderson. Giglio may also direct. Word is the script will delve into the past of the driver known as Frankenstein who died at the opening of the 2008 remake. Sounds like a direct-to-DVD prospect to me considering the first one only generated $74 million worldwide on a $45 million budget. [STYD]
Rumors of Megan Fox nude scenes in Jonah Hex have now started circulating as 13-year-old boys and 65-year-old men now look forward to August 6, 2010. [We are Movie Geeks]
Vin Diesel commented on the status of a third Riddick film on his Facebook page saying:
The Riddick discussion is about rating now…
Though Hollywood likes their PG Ratings, the next chapter in the COR series was always envisioned as an R rating, like Pitch Black…
One Studio exec suggested doing both "The Underverse" and "The Furyan," (working titles) at the same time, allowing us an R rating for the first and a PG rating for the second.
The good news- David Twohy's script comes in next month.
Looks like the studio has ignored the 5,000+ votes when I asked "Would You Rather Universal Make a Third Riddick Film or 'Serenity 2'? ".
Apparently the rumor regarding Steven Spielberg's involvement in the Halo movie wasn't true as Kotaku got in touch with Microsoft who delivered the following statement:
We're glad there's still a lot of enthusiasm in the entertainment industry surrounding the idea of a Halo movie. That said, the Halo feature film remains on hold as we focus on projects like Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach.
I guess I shouldn't say it wasn't true as much as I should say, simply, the movie isn't happening right now. Perhaps Spielberg is interested, but it isn't moving forward at the moment. There, that's being dilpomatic isn't it?
The Justin Marks penned Green Arrow story, Super Max, is getting a rewrite according to producer David Goyer who says the film is "definitely something we're developing" and cameos in the feature will include the likes of Lex Luthor, the Joker and the Riddler. [MTV]
Next, Warner Home Video sent over the trailer for the upcoming Blu-ray release of The Wizard of Oz due out September 29. Click here for more info on the release.
DVD rental kiosk company Redbox said today it has sued 20th Century Fox over the movie studio's attempts to delay its titles from appearing in Redbox vending machines. [Los Angeles Times]
Yet again, talk of a Blair Witch Project 3 has surfaced with director Eduardo Sanchez telling the BBC:
"Ideally, each Blair Witch film would be a completely different kind of movie,", he says. "We've thought about doing a film that takes place in the late 1700s and looks like a [Stanley] Kubrick movie with gritty looking people and lighting.
"But now, we're thinking about going back and and seeing what happened directly after the first film finished.
"I think it will have some kind of video element in it, but it won't be a first person hand-held movie."
I think this boat has sailed…
Finally, another new video showed up at Film Drunk yesterday and is good for a laugh or two featuring characters played by Harrison Ford and their concern for wife and family:
