As far as memorable moments go the best animated movie is The Simpsons Movie. The moment Bart starts skateboarding naked was when my funnybone ticked the most. Other moments that touches my funnybone include:

Homer and bart on the roof 1

Mr. Burns releases the hounds
Homer's pig crap silo in the lake
Homer's chainsaw gag
Spiderpig/Harry Plopper
Homer's fishing accident
Uncle Fucka
Kyle's Mom
Blame Canada
Butthead misreading master station as masturbation
Beavis turning into Cornholio on the plane/in the White house

What about Shrek? In Britain it was the 1st and only animated movie to be nominated for best feature film at the BAFTAs. Two others have been nominated for best british film.

Beavis and Butthead Do America should be number 1.

The whole dynamic of animated movies changed since Beavis and Butthead Do America came out. Before Beavis and Butthead Do America, a lot of animated movies were set in fairytale like lands (some still are). After Beavis and Butthead broke this mould most animated movies were (and still are) set in either modern day America (The Simpsons Movie and South Park the Movie) modern day Britain (Wallace and Gromit in the Curse of the Were Rabbit) or in the future (Futurama: Bender's Big Score)

For me, Pinocchio is probably the greatest animated film of all time. But, in this list, are we saying 'best animated' as in, the films were animated really well, or just best film, that is animated? Because, Sleeping Beauty is the most stunning and beautifully perfect film, in terms of animation, but overall it's pretty dull and full of flaws, certainly not one of the best Disney movies.
Anyway, my list, taking into consideration good animation and a good overall film, would probably be

1. Pinocchio
2. Peter Pan
3. Toy Story 2
4. Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea
5. Finding Nemo
6. The Nightmare Before Christmas
7. Grave of the Fireflies
8. The Jungle Book
9. Fantasia
10. My Neighbour Totoro

I don't think that anything that was animated with xerox should be in the top ten. The lines are not crisp, and it is sloppy animation.
Snow White, Pinocchio, Fantasia (for being cutting edge for it's time),
Then just to be a contrarian, Toy Story, and just about anything Nick Parks does, Incredibles, and Heavy Traffic.

Toy Story 2 is way good, but seriously The Nightmare Before Christmas? Its just ok, nothing groundbreaking. But here are my top ten animated films.

I still haven't seen WALL*E, so according to reviews and recommendations it will probably knock one off my top ten.

I'm a little disappointed that Anastasia (1997) didn't make the list and my not-so favorite Disney movie Mulan (1998) is.

It's definitely disappointing.
