Rose McGowan Fights More than Fonda’s ‘Barbarella’ Did
I don't think she understands the character
Rose McGowan has caught the attention of Variety this time and pulled them out of their stuffy slanguage shell and has them even pondering why the hell a remake of Barbarella is even being considered.
Outside of the recent comments McGowan made saying she is still the lead in the film and pre-production is currently underway; she has apparently died her hair blonde for the role. Hair dying never appeared to me to be anything special in terms of getting a movie made and if McGowan wants to prove she can really play Barbarella she is going to have to figure the character out.
See, Barbarella would have started sleeping around by this point and would have had her gay/blind Angel (don’t tell me he wasn’t) helping her every step of the way. And no, sleeping with director Robert Rodriguez and then landing the lead in his next film doesn’t count.
As for that Angel… Might I suggest… Chris Crocker? That’s him in the pic if you were wondering… You may remember him as … linky.
