Did you like Stir of Echoes? I did, but it wasn't until long after its theatrical run that I saw it. Hell, I don't think it was until I caught it on USA or some network like that that I decided to rent it.

Nevertheless, they are making another one, Stir of Echoes: The Dead Speak, and Rob Lowe is set to topline the feature which is being produced and financed by Lionsgate.

The pic was penned by Ernie Barbaresh who will also be directing the film as it gets underway in mid-July in Toronto.

The story revolves around a soldier who returns home from a tour of duty in Iraq only to be haunted by visions of the dead.

I'm down for a sequel and Lowe is a fantastic actor, but this one has that stench of direct-to-video, much like Sony's Hollow Man 2.
