Reynolds Rides Mottola's 'Superbad' Follow Up
Will Adventureland be as profitable?
Ryan Reynolds is set to star opposite Jesse Eisenberg in Superbad helmer Greg Mottola's follow-up Adventureland for Miramax Films.
The pic is set in summer 1987 and centers on an uptight recent college grad who is forced to take a degrading minimum-wage job at the local amusement park after he realizes he can't afford his dream European tour. Reynolds will play Connell, an aspiring rock star and the icon of cool to all the kids working at the park.
This time around Mottola put pen to paper himself and wrote the screenplay and shooting is scheduled to begin next month in Pittsburgh. Bundle up, it could get chilly.
