Releasing on August 21 is the under-the-radar feature My One and Only from Freestyle Releasing starring Renee Zellweger and Kevin Bacon with Richard Loncraine (Wimbledon) directing. Of course, the fact Loncraine is directing doesn't immediately turn our eye to the film itself as both Wimbledon and Firewall weren't exactly the epitome of filmmaking (although I didn't mind Firewall as much as some others did). However, Zellweger has become synonymous with the Oscar hunt and this is her only chance in 2009.

Personally the film looks a bit too cheesy to me and the narration pretty much closes the door on my interest as it basically sells the film as generic schlock, but that's just me.
