'Predators' Cast Begins With Adrien Brody and Topher Grace
Talk about an unlikely bunch

The Hollywood Reporter has opened the door to the casting for the Robert Rodriguez produced Predators, Fox's return to the Predator franchise that began with Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1987 and recently disappointed everyone with two Alien vs. Predator films, most recently in 2007. The script for this latest version was penned by Rodriguez, Alex Litvak and Michael Finch and will be directed by Nimrod Antal (Vacancy).
The news carries some heavy weight at the top as Adriend Brody will star as a man who ends up inheriting the mantle of leader and is known as a hunter of men in the film following a group of elite warrior-types who are being hunted by members of a race of merciless alien trackers called Predators.
Joining Brody will be one-time "That '70s Show" star Topher Grace playing an accountant-type whose unassuming facade masks a dangerous serial killer; I Am Legend's Alice Braga playing the tough female killer; Mahershalalhashbaz Ali ("The 4400") playing a man not afraid to die; "The Shield" star Walt Goggins is the loose canon of the group and UFC fighter Oleg Taktarov is a former Russian special ops agent.
Rodriguez regular Danny Trejo is Cuchillo, a hardened warrior with twin uzis strapped to his back.
Filming will take place in Hawaii for a July 9, 2010 release.
