Potter Star to Take to Stage in the Nude?

Take that Voldemort!

Well, I guess Emma Watson will be the last of the Harry Potter trio to branch out from the popular franchise and do something else as word comes out of the BBC that Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, is to appear on the London stage next year, playing a stable boy who has an erotic relationship with his horses.

Yeah, uh… I am not sure about the nature of the play, but it seems to be a little bit un-Harry Potter like…

The article goes on to say that Radcliffe will star opposite Richard Griffiths (plays Uncle Vernon Dursley in the Harry Potter films) in the revival of Peter Shaffer’s 1973 play Equus, to open in the capital in March.

Radcliffe, 17, will be asked to appear naked in the play and will have to get it on with no less than six horses in the film.

This isn’t Radcliffe’s first foray out of the Harry Potter universe as he recently completed December Boys. Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Potter films stars in Driving Lessons, which finally opens wide in the US on October 13.

Radcliffe, Grint and Watson are all filming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at this time, which is set for release on July 13, 2007.
