A Peek at Will and John’s ‘Step Brothers’ Poster

Am I the only one tired of this comedy?

I hate to admit it, but I am no longer a fan of Will Ferrell’s films and John C. Reilly doesn’t make me laugh either. I skipped Walk Hard, passionately disliked Talladega Nights, skipped Blades of Glory and am not looking forward to Semi-Pro as it continues to whore itself out to every advertiser under the sun. All of Ferrell’s movies just feel like they are extensions of the one prior. He dresses up in goofy clothing, shows off how fat he is, yells some redneck saying and makes an ass out of himself. The originality is just not there, and it never really was considering he did all of this on “Saturday Night Live”, which is when it actually was funny.

That said, Ferrell and Reilly are teaming up this time around and AOL brings us the poster for Step Brothers, which is being released on July 25.

In the flick Ferrell plays Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen). Reilly plays Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins). When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

The bad news for me, maybe not for you, is that this is a complete Talladega reunion as director Adam McKay is back in the chair.

Here’s the poster.
