Peculiar Name Recognition on the New ‘Hulk’ Poster

Does this spell trouble or is it really nothing at all?

Okay, a second look at the poster for The Incredible Hulk has me asking questions. As we all know Edward Norton wrote the screenplay for the flick after Zak Penn turned in the original draft. So, who exactly is Edward Harrison? Well, according to the poster he is the one who co-wrote the flick…

There have been several stories saying there have been problems, this is out of a recent article in the “New York Times”:

Mr. Norton and Marvel, which has the right of final approval on the film, have sparred in recent weeks over trims, among other issues, said studio executives involved, who asked to remain anonymous as they were not authorized to speak publicly. Mr. Norton — who was hired to rewrite the script along with playing the lead — has made it clear he won’t cooperate with publicity plans if he’s not happy with the final product, these people said.

Check out the poster below and you tell me, did Norton ask to have his name removed/changed from the credits and they satisfied his wish in the writing credits only?

Edward Harrison is a name Norton does go by on occasion (Harrison is his middle name), but this seems a bit odd. Seeing how this is Norton’s first feature length screenplay he may be doing this as a writer only and will do the same on Motherless Brooklyn, which he is also set to direct. (Norton also recently edited Down in the Valley under the name Edward Harrison.) I may be reading too much into it, but with all the buzz it just caught my eye.

He’s an actor, he probably wants to distinguish his on-screen name with his off. It was expected that something like this would happen. I don’t think its a bomb prevention tactic, more like separating both his careers.
