There are times when also I feel like I can't keep doing this on my own. But I agree with you on Allen and Gordon-Levitt. Ever since 3rd Rock he has buildt up an impressive resume with great performances. From "Brick" and "Manic" to the extremely disturbing "Mysterious Skin". Let's hope "G.I. Joe" is the end of his "almost surely crap films". But who knows. Maybe Sommers might surprise and the movie can actually be entertaining. Anyways, with a big movie(s) under his belt he'll probably be able to green lit movies based on his name and that is a good thing no matter what. The Daniel Plainview comment was a compliment. I'm weird like that. Although, I'd say this column alternates regularly between things i love and hate. Anyways, yeah, I can kind of understand why Gordon-Levitt is doing G.I. Joe.--although I'm sure he's set for life after 3rd Rock from the Sun, so I find it hard to believe it's for money. But maybe he was a big fan of G.I. Joe when growing up. Or maybe he needs a guaranteed hit so he can get some smaller projects made. I don't know.
