Patrick Wilson Joins 'Lakeview Terrace'

Screen Gems thriller also beefs up on talent

This is odd for a Screen Gems thriller considering they tend to churn out cheap thrills with mindless effects, but their upcoming project Lakeview Terrace is gathering steam talent-wise with Patrick Wilson set to join Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington with Neil LaBute directing. Oh, and yes, I consider Washington a talent.

The film is about an interracial couple who move into a new home only to find themselves harassed by their neighbor, a racist LAPD officer (Jackson).

It was reported back in March that Ashton Kutcher would be starring in the flick as Washington's character's spouse. There is no word on whether or not Wilson is replacing Kutcher or taking on a different role. My guess is that Kutcher is out.

Shooting begins Monday, June 18 from a script penned by David Loughery.
